A mobile massage is the same treatment as at the studio, at your place: I arrive with the professional table, the linen, the oils and the music, I set up in about ten minutes in the room of your choice, and you have nothing to plan beyond a little space and a quiet moment. I travel within 15 km of Hossegor, travel included. Here is how it runs, step by step.
Why choose mobile
Having a treatment where you are staying means keeping the best part for last: no drive afterwards, no coming back to the world too fast. You stay in your bubble, you can lie down, shower, sleep. It is also the simplest option when you are on holiday in a rental or a villa, when you have young children at home, when getting about is difficult, or simply after a surf session you would rather not drive back from. Many of my regulars alternate: the studio some days, home the others.
For visitors, this is usually the practical answer: I come to houses, rentals, hotels, campsites, campervans on a pitch and surf camps along the coast. Everything happens in English if you prefer.
Before: booking
For mobile sessions, booking goes through the contact form or by phone, not through Planity, which is for the studio only. Tell me your town, the treatment you want, the duration, the slot that suits you and, if you know, what you are looking for from the session. I confirm availability quickly. Mobile slots are Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9am to 7pm, and Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays in the morning from 9am to 1pm; on those afternoons I am at the studio.
What you prepare
- A space of about 2 m by 3 m, for the table and so I can walk around it: a living room, a bedroom, a shaded terrace or a garden in summer all work well;
- A heated room out of season: the body cools quickly once still;
- Quiet, as far as possible: phone on silent, children and animals occupied elsewhere;
- nothing else. I bring the table, the linen (washed cotton, reused), the oils and the music.
During: how the session runs
I arrive about ten minutes before the treatment time to set up. We then take time to talk, as at the studio: what you need, your sensitive areas, how you feel that day, any precautions (pregnancy, medication, recent injury). You settle on the table in your underwear, covered by a towel that protects your privacy, and I uncover only the area I am working on. During the treatment I encourage you to tell me what you feel, pressure above all: the right massage is the one that suits you, not the one that hurts.
Treatments available at your place
Every treatment from the studio is available as a mobile session: intuitive massage (also suitable during pregnancy, after the first trimester and with your doctor’s agreement), trigger point massage, fascia therapy, assisted stretching, Deep Stretch & Massage, kobido and rituals. For athletes, sports & recovery massage at the house, right after a session, is often the one people appreciate most. The details and prices, identical to the studio, are on the services & prices page.
After: coming back gently
At the end I leave you time to come back unhurried, then we exchange a few words about how it felt. Payment is on the spot: card (mobile terminal), cash or French cheque. I fold the table away and leave you at home, in the state the massage put you in. My advice: do not plan anything important in the hour that follows, drink water, and keep the moment for yourself.
Price, area covered and travel costs
Travel is included within 15 km of Hossegor: Capbreton, Seignosse, Soustons, Angresse, Bénesse-Maremne, Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse, Saubion, Tosse and Labenne. Beyond that, I ask €10 per additional 5 km (for example 20 km: +€10; 25 km: +€20), plus paid parking where applicable. The price of the treatment itself does not change.
I also travel to hotels and holiday rentals along the coast, and for events or companies (seated massage, clothed, or group stretching), on request.
What a mobile massage is not
I spell this out because the question comes up: my massages are wellness treatments, not therapeutic ones. I am not a physiotherapist, I make no diagnosis and I do not replace a medical prescription. In case of fever, acute injury, phlebitis or an ongoing condition, the session is postponed or adapted after your doctor’s advice. And the treatments are wellness massages exclusively: any request of another nature is refused.
To see how I combine trigger points, fascia therapy and stretching after a session, read the piece on surf recovery. And to book at your place, everything is on the mobile massage in Hossegor page.
Frequently asked questions
How much space do you need?
About 2 m by 3 m, for the table and so I can walk around it. A living room, a bedroom, a shaded terrace or a garden all work. I set up in about ten minutes and leave with all the equipment.
Does a mobile massage cost more than the studio?
No. Within 15 km of Hossegor the price is identical to the studio, travel included. Beyond that, I ask €10 per additional 5 km, plus paid parking where applicable.
How do I book a mobile massage?
Through the contact form or by phone, telling me your town, the treatment and the slot you want. Planity is for studio appointments only. Mobile slots are Tuesdays and Wednesdays all day, and Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays in the morning.
Can two people book a mobile massage?
Yes, one after the other: I stay on site and treat both people in turn. Mention it when booking so I can block the time needed.
Do you come to campsites, surf camps and hotels?
Yes, provided there is a quiet space of roughly 2 m by 3 m. Reception areas, a room, a shaded terrace or a pitch all work. For a group, tell me the number of people and the window you have.
