Kobido Japanese facial massage in Hossegor
A traditional Japanese facial massage, done by hand: acupressure, lifting strokes and stimulation, for tone, glow and deep facial relaxation. At the studio in Soorts-Hossegor or where you are staying.

What Kobido is
Kobido is a Japanese facial massage with a long lineage. It works the face, neck and scalp by hand only: slow acupressure on specific points, lifting strokes along the muscles, then quick, light percussions that stimulate the skin and the circulation.
It is a wellness massage with a natural firming effect, not a cosmetic procedure. I practise it the way I work on the body: listening to what the face holds that day, and adjusting the pressure and the pace accordingly.
What a Kobido session looks like
The session lasts 1h15. You lie on the table, face cleansed, with a light oil. I start with the neck and shoulders so the face can let go, then move through the acupressure points, the lifting sequences and the stimulation phase. The rhythm alternates between slow and brisk; most people drift off in the slow parts. I finish with the scalp.
Who it is for
Anyone who wants their face to rest as much as their body: after a week of sun, wind and salt water, before an event, or simply as a regular care. Men and women alike. It suits people who prefer a manual treatment to devices or products. If you have a skin condition or a recent facial procedure, tell me before we book.

Your questions
What is Kobido?
Kobido is a Japanese facial massage, done entirely by hand, without tools or devices. It combines acupressure, lifting strokes and fast, light stimulation of the face, neck and scalp. Its origin is traditional Japanese massage; today it is practised as a wellness treatment with a natural firming effect.
Kobido before and after: what should I expect?
Right after the session, the face usually feels relaxed and looks rested, with a bit more glow; the jaw and the forehead let go. That is the honest picture: a wellness massage, not an aesthetic procedure, and I make no promise beyond what a massage can do. The effect is more noticeable with regular sessions.
How many sessions?
One session is a full treatment on its own, and a good way to discover it. If you want to keep the effect going, I offer a series of three (€270), spaced a week or two apart.
Is it suitable for men? Can it be combined with a body massage?
Yes to both. Kobido is for men and women alike, with no product applied beyond a light oil. And it can be booked after a body massage or as part of a longer ritual: tell me when you book and I will plan the time accordingly.
